| Cardiac Ultrasound Clinical Specialist - Boston |
Description: This an innovative and exciting company that has successfully developed hand-carried ultrasound devices that allow clinicians to perform cost-effective examinations in mobile locations without sacrificing image quality or performance.
This Position reports to the Clinical Development Manager and will work with the Vice President of Marketing and Business Development. The Clinical Specialist will also work as a member of the Headquarters marketing team to help achieve market success in the cardiac ultrasound field.
Key responsibilities: Product Development • Work closely with cardiology, vascular surgery and radiology opinion leaders to document key clinical requirements for echocardiography and general imaging ultrasound equipment • Communicate prioritized customer needs widely within the company, especially to product development engineering teams, to drive development of product enhancements and new applications • Champion the market and customer requirements within the company Marketing Requirements • Play a leading role in the launch of new medical devices • Closely monitor competitive product performance and market strategies • Coordinate marketing and field customer training activities • Support marketing's development of marketing collateral and training material Product Demonstrations • Provide ultrasound demonstrations for prospective customers at company headquarters and at customer sites • Travel to and participate in trade shows, conferences and workshops as member of marketing organization Customer and Sales Support Training • Provide pre- and post-installation application support and related research-specific applications • Provide training to customers on the use of newly acquired equipment at customer locations • Provide training to sales representatives and distributors
Qualifications: The candidate must be a registered sonographer,preferably RCDS with have the clinical skills to perform echocardiography and peripheral vascular ultrasound exams as well as the ability to clearly explain and demonstrate the proper operation of the imaging equipment. The candidate must have two or more years of recent cardiology ultrasound experience either in a clinical setting or with an ultrasound product company. The candidate will have experience in understanding and communicating customers' requirements to product development teams.
This position requires approximately 30-40% travel, excellent communication skills, computer and basic software knowledge, and the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
